We had people watching the four-hour process of makeup! It was so cool! Excited people were twittering—it was quite a draw.

Tradeshow models and talent have long been utilized to improve the success of exhibitors at conventions and trade shows because of their expertise at generating interest and their special skills and abilities to convert prospects into leads and sales.

Tradeshow models, narrators, presenters, crowd gatherers, and hostesses accentuate the success of each exhibit through their extensive training and experience in all the vital marketing strategies that are used by a wide range of businesses today.

There are few boundaries for getting attention, and retaining attention after that is where the trained models and spokespersons or demonstrators are so valued. Mostly, it should be fun but effective. You have to know the audience.

Businesses of all sectors continue learning newer and better ways of improving their marketing efforts, and by attracting and selling to more quantifiable customers. Sometimes just getting them to the booth or exhibit is an effort that needs careful planning and orchestration.

Many models will enthusiastically dress or conform to a specific need or function just as an actor in a play. Each customer contact is an opportunity to attract new business, and who can resist a face-to-face encounter with something right out of a movie?

Finding the edge with fitness and sports models
Wednesday, 12 May 2010 09:48

It’s all about capturing the attention of the audience. The fit and healthy image is a lifestyle that more and more people are embracing as the nation is more aware of the importance of living with better habits and smarter choices. Producers of products that trim and firm nourish and revitalize, are demanding more male models and female models that prove their point with shapely, sexy bodies and lean, athletic tone.

Not only do these models capture the attention they also help promote the products that keep competing for more of the market share, and that is where a professional model can be invaluable to a product launch, a magazine article, a Web site or a trade show appearance. Take sports drinks and supplements, for example. Fitness and health magazines are packed with ads for these products promoted by healthy people (models). The demand for professional models is strong.

For example, how much more impact could a nutritional supplement promotion receive with a known athlete or a celebrity speaking at an event on the product’s behalf? Not all celebrities are great speakers or sales people. But an experienced model with a fitness lifestyle who also knows how to demonstrate and sell a product can be a marvelous way to inject more interest in the product.

These models are in demand for their great looks and their knowledge of exercising muscles, clean-eating and nutrition, sports drinks, and the various types of bikes, weights, equipment, shoes, clothing, accessories and items targeted at the fitness lifestyle market.

PPG has booked former professional cheerleaders, bodybuilders, and models for a variety of uses for health and fitness business uses. At events, they will sign autographs, greet people, and of course the company can always advertise their appearance at engagements which add a certain flair to any event or advertising promotion.

Our agency supplies talent for television, film & video, commercials, infomercials, print, catalog, Internet, CD ROM, and promotional events.

Care to get an edge?

How can a company save money by hiring tradeshow models, emcees, and demonstrators through an agency?
Wednesday, 12 May 2010 09:45

The company saves money by using local, experienced talent near the event, instead of spending as much or more extra on travel expenses and hotel accommodations. The business also receives a professional demonstrator or presenter, or a lead generator or prospect screener who brands the business with a friendly and outgoing personality that leaves lasting impressions with attendees and prospects. Companies come to rely on efficient professionals that take the initiative and work towards their sales goals.

Often the agency arranges to help perform small set-ups before the show and tear-downs after the show, which saves time and money. Imagine having an extra person unpacking boxes of samples or literature and arranging a display in position. Then the following day the same person can collect business cards of qualified leads, hand out brochures and samples, and do what they do best: engage people on the business’s behalf and help generate more interest and sales.

At the completion of the event, the model/booth staff person will place all of the materials into cartons and tear down the displays and place everything into boxes and label them for the shipping company and overnight it to the client.

Over a period of time and multiple trade shows, it’s almost like getting a free show out of the deal with the amount of hours and dollars saved, not to mention the volume of better leads and new sales.

How successful was your last trade show exhibit?
